breaking of water and hydrogen atoms

1.  Take 2 pencils and sharpe 2 adjects of a pencil.
2.  Now Take  Blade & now take out the wooden covering of the pencil so,the graphit rods comes out.
3.  Immense one end of two pencils in a glass with a water.
4. Now connet the other end of a graphite rod of the pencil To  a (only) 9 volts battery thoury a wire & You may also keep a switch in the circuit for your safety.
5.  After conneting The graphite rods to the 9volts battery wait for some time.Observe the graphite rods in the water
6.  We observe that some bubbles are coming out of the rods.
7.  The gas release is hydrogen.
8.  This experiments breaks the Hydrogen  (or) water atoms into parts.
